The climax is here and the digidestined have to choose what to preserve and what to sacrifice to save the world. Fitting end to the story.

the power of hope and friendship saves 2 worlds. again. not that it was bad, just cliche and far too drawn out for 6 movies.

After all, it is Digimon. It kept enough of the first couple of seasons to make the movies enjoyable. Plotwise it was not really good.
