Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai! awful

A boringly bad generic harem.

In the first place, this anime gives little to no context or introduction to it’s world or characters, some people are going to be left asking question after question about a lot of things for the whole 12 episodes.

The cast itself is also very uninteresting, anyone who does look like a fun time isn’t given nearly enough screen time. The main cast consists of what you’d think it would, the shy one, the righteous one, the tomboy, the pervert, and the tsundere love interest, all of which spend more time lusting after main character, who doesn’t really have a defineable personality other than being smart, rather than fleshing out any kind of wants, goals or quirks that they each personally have. This would’ve been fine if the main dude humoured their lust, but like any other harem ever he wants nothing to do with them, so be prepared for several scenes of very painfully forced ecchi that are better viewed as gifs without context.

It also does the harem thing where, instead of focusing on the interactions between the the main character and the heroines, there is instead an overarching plot of high stakes which actively prevents any kind of lewd developments to make any kind of meaningful progression.
It doesn’t help that the overarching plot itself is very silly in a boring way.

Ultimately, I’d say pass on this.
