The original series was 10/10. This one... Meh. But it was still worth the watch.

Lost a lot of what made the main series good. New characters are much weaker and doesn't capitalize on relationships from first season.

Wasted potential. Characters lack depth and the over-arching plot is uninteresting. Decent atmosphere at times, but, overall, lackluster.

As an anime it was OK maybe even good but not as a sequel to DtB... what happened to the cool, badass Hei? (I have seen the OVA too)
