    Mushishi good

This will be a review particularly for those interested in the show and want to know what they're getting into. Mushishi follows the journeys of mushi-master Ginko and his many encounters with mushi and the people afflicted by them. mushi are neither animal nor plant - life in its purest form that can vary greatly in all areas.

Story The series does not follow a specific plotline but is episodic, in which every episode contains its own story. Although many people love anime …

    Sword Art Online meh

Sword Art Online has carved its place in anime history as one of the most controversial shows to make it big. Some say it's flawless. Others think it's hard to find something good about it. I for one think that despite its flaws it manages to be a very enjoyable show - yet still, overall, very bad. Warning; this review will contain spoilers.

Story SAO starts off with a pretty awesome premise - you have 10,000 players start off in a virtual MMO only to find themselves trapped …

    Kokoro Connect meh

Hey, I'll be reviewing Kokoro Connect, and it'll contain spoilers, so be aware. This will also include the Michi Random arc, which factors into the score I give. Knowledge of other popular shows helps here, as I refer to other anime a lot.

    Ah...where to start with this?

Story Your premise is interesting. Heartseed, some otherworldly person conveying his message through the club supervisor, causes five cultural research club members to switch bodies, forcing them all into some …

    Aiura meh

I started watching Aiura because I was feeling really sad. Not the watched-episode-20-of-k-on!! kind of sadness, nor the watched-episode-18-of-clannad-AS type of sadness either. But personal sadness. And I knew I needed to watch something light-hearted. Aiura just finished up today so I thought, why not? And I couldn't have made a better decision.

Story Aiura is like any moe comedy slice of life. A typical 4-koma manga is adapted one of two ways: Either given lots of …

    Another meh

Another is a great take on the horror genre, although many will argue that it's critically flawed. Anime can be a fantastic medium for horror and it's a shame that's not taken advantage of enough. A lot of anime will be labeled as horror, but they aren't really horror. Take Dusk Maiden of Amnesia for example, which feels like a J.C. Staff romcom in disguise. One seemingly insignificant thing that makes Another stand out is that it's actually a horror show. It doesn't quite …

Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko. awful

The "Hentai" Prince and the Stony Cat is a fun and adorable romcom with a touch of supernatural to the story. I don't know why they chose to put "hentai" in the English title, because that's a red flag to any normal person, unless you're aware that in Japan "hentai" just refers to a pervert - but not everyone knows much Japanese culture here. Regardless, it's not hentai, you're safe. It's just the story of a perverted dude who really wants to tell everyone about how much …

    Ano Natsu de Matteru meh

Ano Natsu de Matteru, Waiting in the Summer, is a mixed sci-fi romcom that follows 6 students, one of which from outer space, as they make a movie throughout their summer break. The whole show actually has very little to do with making a movie over summer break, actually, it's only in there for the theme of leaving memories behind prevalent in the end of the show. It's more about the drama and romance, the disastrous love dodecahedron that plagues the cast. It's very …

    Nisekoi meh

Unmarked anime spoilers for Nisekoi. Manga spoilers are omitted.

There's a growing divide in the Nisekoi fanbase today...something that plagues the show even today, up to its final episode.

WHO IS BEST GIRL, ONODERA OR CHITOGE?

Just kidding, we're not going over that today.

If you've watched a few episodes of Nisekoi or had a taste of the manga, and you've been listening to the numerous discussion threads of people bitching about a plot that has moved forward about a …

    Genmu Senki Leda awful

Unless you got here from the RBRP, you are a strange person to have found yourself staring at an extremely obscure 80s OVA that is Genmu Senki Leda. Its description probably doesn't make any sense, but then again, most anime you really don't understand from a description and need to watch to get it anyway. So I'm going to try my best to translate it into something that makes sense.

Basically, high school girl wants to confess her love with a song she composed, and she's …
