    Death Note good

    Prologue:

This review may sound negative but Death Note is still a worth while series and must watch for fans of anime from the 2000's era. This review is a modified version of my review found in the October, 2009 issue of the ScrewAttack Online Magazine [Discontinued].

    History:

Death Note was first created as a Manga series by Tsugumi Ohba and art by Takeshi Obata. The original Manga was 108 chapters or 12 volumes. Death …

    Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica good

    Shaft-a-Piece #1 Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica
    Shaft-a-Piece #2 Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei
    Shaft-a-Piece #3 Bakemonogatari

    Prologue
I am a rather big fan of the Monogatari series by Studio SHAFT and for the longest time I just never got around to viewing Madoka. Though now that I have, I wonder if it truly is a Modern Classic on the same level as its peers, or is it just another anime deconstructing the themes of its genre. My charm this is Wexter and this is my review on …

    Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei good

    Shaft-a-Piece #1 Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica
    Shaft-a-Piece #2 Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei
    Shaft-a-Piece #3 Bakemonogatari

    Prologue:
Possibly the most demented show in Studio Shaft history Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is interesting. Studio Shaft is now known for Madoka and Monogatari yet SZS does not tend to get talked about and that is a shame. This show is quite experimental, disturbing and has a very sharp edge to its humour. The question is does …

Issho ni Training Ofuro: Bathtime with Hinako & Hiyoko awful

Issho ni Sleeping: Sleeping with Hinako awful

    L'OS…

    Bakemonogatari great

    Shaft-a-Piece #1 Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica
    Shaft-a-Piece #2 Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei
    Shaft-a-Piece #3 Bakemonogatari

    Prologue:
Bakemonogatari 化物語 (Bakemono for short) is a show I had a hard time sitting down to watch the first time due to its content and reputation. I am not a fan of the ecchi genre, and something like Bakemonogatari can come off as pretentious. So when I sat down to watch did it satisfy my expectations or did it surpass them? Let’s find out together …

    Shaft-a-PieceSeason #1 (Madoka★Magica,SayonaraZetsubou Sensei, Bakemonogatari)
    Shaft-a-Piece#4 Mekaku City Actors

    Prologue:
Mekaku City Actors (Mekaku for short) is a series that had stewedmore controversy then more recent SHAFTentries, the question is though is it deserved or not? Mekaku had alot to live up to, being Studio Shaft's entry for the spring 2014season following up the fan beloved Shounen Nisekoi and the continuedsuccess of the Monogatari series one would have to …

The World God Only Knows good

    Prologue:

“The source of every crime is some defect of the understanding; or some error in reasoning; or some sudden force of the passions. A defect in the understanding is ignorance; in reasoning, erroneous opinion.” that is a quote from Thomas Hobbes’ Leviathan which is a thoughtful book about government and the monarchy. What? How does that relate to The World God Only Knows? Nothing! That is correct The World God Only Knows or TWGOK is not the most philosophical series …

    TWGOK Season 1 - Review

Prologue:There are many ways to make a sequel to a successful series. Sometimes you get a series that evolves the concept of its predecessor, introduces new concepts and cranks it to 11. That would be your Zeta Gundams. Some series just ride the coattails of its predecessor and for the most part is just a rehash of season 1, for better or for worse. That would be your Bakuman. 2. Now both options …
