    Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou great

    This is my favorite anime.
Daily Lives is the epitome of the Slice of Life genre. It's a hilarious, interesting and relatable look at how boys turn everything into a game, and how sometimes the world is just as bizarre as you pretend it is. It uses a lot of self-aware jokes and unique punchlines, which are used in an excellent, intelligent way to build character through the humor.

I checked out the manga it was based on, and that helped me realize something important. The …

    Comic Party Revolution awful

In order to understand the horror this anime inspires in me, you have to understand that it was follow-up to one of my favorite anime, Comic Party.

The show, while not perfect, was very inspiring to me, seeing as I make comics myself. It actually showed the process of selling fan comics at a convention, and somehow managed to transport you into its world.

The series covered similar territory as Bakuman, however it brought its own style to the table with its quirky humor, …

    Tasogare Otome x Amnesia good

This is actually one of my favorite anime series.
It's easy to pass off this anime as just another fanservice show, but this show doesn't degrade its characters with its fanservice, (unlike many other shows I could mention), so in that regard it gets a free pass from me. And though, yes, the main character is boring, he's more than made up for by the supporting cast, all of whom are memorable, at least for me.

Having read the manga and watched the anime, I can say with some …

    Aa! Megami-sama! Movie good

Luckily, Ah! My Goddess, (or more correctly, “Oh! My Goddess”, and not to be mistaken for the more risqué Ah My Buddha), is a straight-forward romp that won’t confuse you if you aren’t a fan.

The movie disassociates itself from most of its franchise’s extensive canon, and instead focuses on a classic good vs. evil story with lots of will-they-won’t-they tension on the romantic front and a secondary conflict involving motorcycles, of all things.

The main character is a classic …

Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka good

This review is not spoiler free.

Is it Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls In a Dungeon? wasn't my first choice on this summer's line-up, but, midway through the season, I tried it and ended up liking it.

It's not for everyone, obviously, but I think one that thing that might be warding people away is its title, which implies some sort of Fifty Shades of Hestia. The dungeon in question is a core feature of the show. It's kind of like the equivalent of the "shonen training arena", …
